Ohio builder on the Lake Erie shore (Grand River / Painesville / Fairport Harbor) whose modern form dates from Charles Britton's 1971 purchase of the remains of Douglass & McLeod after a factory fire. Known for Sparkman & Stephens-designed racer-cruisers in the 1970s–80s and Tim Jackett designs since; still building under the Tartan Yachts name.
