Robert B. Harris

Merchant Marine Academy cadet, Crosby yard apprentice and Sparkman & Stephens draughtsman (1950–1957) who built his first catamaran in 1948 and wrote Modern Sailing Catamarans (1960). Partner in MacLear & Harris from 1959 to 1967, he later returned to S&S, then moved to Vancouver in 1972, where he designed the Vancouver 27 through 42 cruising series and several Tayana models.
